1.ASTB Foundation Skills Massage Certificate

Complete this course for a thorough competency in basic massage techniques. Both days are practical, hands on, learn to massage, with 35 soft tissue massage techniques. Plenty of time to ask questions, a small group friendly training encourages learning. For safe practice, contraindications, physiological effects. medical practice, and clinical applications in the clinic, with common body conditions. Be capable of a full one hour or 30 minute massages after this course           All in 2 Days !

2. ASTB Sports & Therapeutic Massage Certificate : Bridge to Practice

Progress from Foundation skills onto this two day course. Achieve an ATSB sports massage certificate for your CPD. Gain insight into sports massage applications for pre event, post event, inter-event, training and more applications. Learn specific applications for the hand, foot face and abdomen. Explore theories of stress management. During this course you will also be trained in the core principles of MET's STR Trigger Points

3. AIQ NQF Sports Massage Certificate preparation weekend

The AIQ L3 Sports Massage Certificate is a NQF nationally recognised qualification in sports massage. This weekend is for those Physiotherapists planning to take the AIQ exams and provides essential training in profiling, examination, exercise prescription,& injuries. This weekend set at minimum 6 weeks prior to the AIQ exam weekend provides valuable revision material for students wanting to complete their AIQ exams.
Entry Requirements : Parts 1 & 2 or over 4 years experience in MSK Physiotherapy & massage techniques
Cost £195 plus £150 to cover exam fees and AIQ work book

4. The AIQ Exam Weekend

This weekend participants undertake the 6 unit exams for the AIQ certification
Entry requirement

( Experienced MSK Physiotherapists with over 4 years experience can apply for supervised home study and completion of exam weekend cost £550 )


 

Indian  Head  Massage                                                                                        

This one day course trains this ages old technique, in a kata sequence. On completion of the course HPC registered Physiotherapist's will be capable of providing IHM at event's, corporate stress management days, in clinic, hospices or for friend's and family. Student Physiotherapist's will need seperate insurance, which can be arranged via many brokers, ASTB cannot recommend a sinlge brokers, however, we can supply a list of some who can cover.

Sports Strapping & Taping for Sports

During this day course you will learn to strap the most commonly injured joints, and understand the protocols behind using different forms of taping. On completion of the course you will have the capability to use tape to protect, support, and prevent injury. Additionally you will be encouraged to begin designing your own sport specific taping processes. A follow up advanced strapping and kiniseo taping course is planned for later in 2008 pleaseemail if you want to be registered on the list for this advanced course.
